Founded in Berlin in 2016, MILES runs free-floating carsharing billed by the kilometre rather than the minute, which makes it well suited to medium-distance city trips. It also rents vans and offers car subscriptions. In 2022 it absorbed Volkswagen's WeShare fleet, and it expanded into Belgium in 2023.
